Welcome to SPA 2022!

The Summer Program in Aging (SPA) 2022 is co-hosted by the University of Calgary Brenda Strafford Centre on Aging and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research – Institute of Aging (CIHR-IA). SPA 2022 will provide graduate students and post-doctoral fellows the opportunity to engage in a range of learning sessions including lectures, panel discussions, and a debate as well as enjoyable, interactive activities built around the topic area of neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular diseases in aging. The program will cross disciplines, institutions, and geographic boundaries.

This website will act as a hub for program information and enable participants to contact one another following SPA 2022. Over the course of SPA, a virtual platform called Cvent will be used for curriculum sessions, collaborative work, and networking opportunities. Participants must access Cvent to participate in the program and connect online with fellow participants.

We hope you make the most of this program!
